Founded in 1993, Thompson Associates specializes in executive search & outplacement services with a primary focus on Senior Executive, VP and Director level positions in operations, sales, marketing and business development. The firm’s career management practice was officially founded in 2001. Prior to forming Thompson Associates, Dennis was District Manager of Operations for Neopost Corporation, a $100 million worldwide supplier of software and hardware to the mailing and shipping industries. As District Manager, Dennis led a team of 50 individuals responsible for sales, service and administration of the company's northern California business.

Since inception, Thompson Associates has completed multiple searches for public and private companies as well as organizations. Private companies and organizations include: The Churchill Club, Alpha Technologies ,Defend Net , Alvesta , Sequis , and Application Partners. Public companies include: American Power Conversion, Lucent Technologies, GE Capital, Liebert, Hewlett Packard and Kronos.
